The first post

Alright, so I know that I am probably going to forget to blog every-so-often, however I really think I can do this blogging thing on a more frequent basis...and besides writing on our family blog: allexfamily.blogspot.com I thought it'd be nice to write my own personal notes to being a mom of a 9 month-old while waiting on our little boy to join us in the world in less than 3 months!
So recently, Preston graduated. Thank God for His strength and patience with my husband as he was able to finish obtainging his undergraduate degree in accounting! Now most of our stresses are gone due to the finals stress, graduation party stresses, and whatnot...now we are enjoying our lazy summer days at St. John's for only a few more weeks until we move into our apartment! I am very very very excited to be moving and get settled down before Teigan joins our family out of the womb! Until he comes, he reminds me daily with cute (and hard) kicks up to my lungs, making me very anxious to have my belly back to its regular, non-stomach acid like self.
Yesterday, we took Bella outside and into the grassy field outside our home for the first time. Now granted, it has been nice and warm in Minnesota for a few weeks now, however with all of our crazy schedules, we hadn't had a real day as a family... So after dressing Bella for the sun, with lots of sunscreen, and a cute outfit, we took her outside to have her play in the grass for the first time. Well, our adventurous little bumblebee, Bella, was not feelin' play time in the grass. In fact, as soon as Preston plopped her in the grass, she would not move until her Mommy (me) put down the blanket, where she skirted straight towards to sit on and play with me on the pink blanket. This might be the first look into the future about my daughter and dirt/grass...she does not like it. In fact, to be try to encourage her to go into the grass, Preston tossed her ball into the green grass, but she would not budge off the blanket, she even tried to pull the blanket towards her ball, but it would not move. So when Preston lifted her up and tried his "airplane descent" with Bella in his arms towards the grass, Bella was able to straighten her entire body like a board so that she would not touch the grass at all! It was amazing, very cute, but as a Mom I was also laughing pretty hard but it was only because I was so impressed with my little BumbleBee!
So today's adventure will be to the beach at the lake...I'll be sure to take lots of pictures! But until then, here are some pics of Bella!

God Bless, KDA

She would not move anywhere in that darn grass!

Hi Mommy!

My stiff-board Baby...as you can see she did NOT want to touch that grass...even if it was to save her ball.
