Streams of Thoughts

Oh geez, ok so it's been a month. My apologizes...what have I been up to? Let's see....
Pregnancy- today I am 11 1/2 weeks into this pregnancy. Haha I still can't believe God has blessed us with three children in three years! I can't wait to have another child that God will ask us to guide towards Him and shield them from evil. A few have asked me which would I prefer? Girl or boy? My answer is first and foremost, as long as he/she is healthy, I'll be happy...secretively, girl, girl girl! I just think it'll be too cute to have girl, boy, girl...BUT if God knows that our family needs another boy to guide towards vocation of priesthood or father, I'll still be very excited and happy. We find this pregnancy truly is a blessings since we know of couples who have been told of the difficulties of getting pregnant AND the opposite of couples who have not found trust in the Lord to follow the Catholic teaching of NFP, instead resorting to believe the hype of contraceptives.
BumbleBee and T the Tiger- Well Bumblebee has learned how to sing...and by sing, I mean she has learned her range of saying "Dadddddddddddyyyyyyyyyyyy" while going up and down the scale. Meanwhile T has cut his two bottle front teeth, so now he enjoys chomping on everything, especially Mommy's phone. T also learned how to stand up in his crib...which meant that Daddy had the fun job of putting down his bed. AND T learned how to crawl around...which means Grandma Patti will need to super baby-proof her house before we go to Fargo for Easter.
Ministry- Well the White Rose Waltz, purity ball for High School girls and their fathers, went AMAZING! We had 25 father-daughter couples at the event this past Saturday. It was a long process of 6 months to get this together, but it went off beautifully...and a lot of thanks to Mrs. E Kodet who was there helping me push each step of the way. Confirmation Summit was two weekends ago, and that was GREAT as well. It was our make up day long retreat for 9th and 10th grade students; we had 15 youth throughout the day which was a beautiful site to see, especially at reconciliation, as students who hadn't gone in "forever" were able to gather the courage of the Holy Spirit to guide them to the confessional. New projects ahead include: fundraising for mission trips, 30 Hr. Faminine for Haiti, family nights, young adult ministry, ooooooooooooooohhhhhhh and the pro-life ministry I'm trying to help guide.
Marriage- On a beautiful side note, Preston and I celebrated our anniversary on Monday. We went to our favorite restaraunt in St. Cloud, Anton's, while our children were watched by Uncle Texas and soon to be Auntie Texas at St. Ben's. It was very nice to spend time together and reflect on the past and pray for the future!
House Hunting- Last very exciting news, we have a signed purchase agreement! That being said, if we like what the inspector says on Monday, we will be buying our 1st house!! It has 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a GREAT back yard, and close to SuperHubby's work! Whoohoo! More news soon, and pics too!

Now this is Momma gangsta!

MAN! I wish I could be blessed to have this talent!

The Patience of an 18 month-old

Our day at home is pretty structured for an 18 month-old. It's easier for her to know what we're doing and she seems to like knowing that she will get food and certain activities each day (we might have 1 or 2 meltdowns a week because it's so formed in her as to what we do when it's a home day. Wake up ("mooooooommeeeeeeey! Daddddddyyyyyyy"), breakfast ("Mo, Mo, Mo" we think it means more food), morning stretches/dance time (YMCA classic, Ice Cream and Cake song and we sing Arms Up Chilly Chilly!), reading or play time/coloring/tent making (always incorperating learning :), lunch with Daddy (then he leaves and we run to the sliding glass door to wave him goodbye!), diaper change, nap, diaper change, snack, play with Teigan, wait for Daddy to come home to play!
Sometimes that time to wait for Daddy only takes a few minutes. BumbleBee realizes it's about time for Daddy to come home and she asks, "Daddddeeeey??" as she points to the window. But normally SuperHubby comes before she can realize it's close to 5. Then one day last week, SuperHubby had to work later (5:30 latest), but that 45 minutes was terribly long to our daughter. As pictures show, (this was a true BumbleBee design), my daughter scooted her two table chairs to the window, propped Lucy Doll on a pillow and snagged a pillow for her own back. She had also grabbed a blanket and her puppy and tiger animals to wait and sat pretty patiently waiting for her best friend, Daddy, to come home so she may continue to play. It just reminds me how blessed we are to have such a patient daughter at such a young age. It was cute, and now she makes a plan to grab her chairs and Lucy doll right after her nap, sets up Lucy Doll, and then goes and plays until she gets tired enough to wait for her Daddy.

Unfailing Love

Well the past few weeks, my life has been consumed with morning sickness, running around with
my adorable two babies, and preparing for the my parish's 1st Christ Renews His Parish (CRHP) retreat. It was this past weekend, and with 21 participants and 15 leaders from a nearby parish, it was phenomenal!! It had been a long drought of time since I had been a participant of a retreat (I think it's been over 4 years now). It was so great to be able to take a weekend to reflect, revive, and renew my faith journey with other women. I will say it was difficult to leave behind my two babies with my Super Hubby, but it was such a rewarding experience to be able to grow with my community. We created a sisterhood this weekend... a little hard to believe since it was less than 36 hours we were together; but thankfully CRHP does a great job meeting only a few days after the retreat experience.
As for my children, well I came home to a clean office, dishes washed, AND both children bathed (which is quite the challenge for Super Hubby who only has one hand to use).
With the retreat, God was able to speak to me (and I was able to listen this time) to His call for me in this faith community. It was nice to be reassured that I am not alone on this journey towards heaven. The better lessons of the retreat for myself was that I shouldn't compare my insides to other's outsides; everyone is broken and can be repaired through Christ's love; and that women can be AMAZING witnesses to God's love to one another. It was quite the experience, and my suggestion to anyone out there is: if your parish has CRHP Retreats available, go to one! Just try it, without reservations and if you have a few, that's ok too...still go! If your parish does not have CRHP available, please contact me and maybe we can get it going at your parish as well.

Alright well, God Bless!
